Kingswinford 2 - 4 West Bromwich
Goal scorers: James Dunn, Toby Roberts

Squad - Brad, Tom, Aman, Liam, Will, Dan, Toby K, Cam, James, Toby R, Tim, Maya, Trinity

K'ford once again fielded a strong line up, including two debutantes Maya and Trinity. With Tim deciding to make a rare start at the heart of defence with Liam, and playing a diamond formation in midfield, the team settled in quickly. Both sides began to attack, but it was the home side that took the lead after seven minutes. After good work from Cam, he found James, who slotted home from close range to put K'ford into the lead. At the other end, Liam and Tim were being kept busy by West Brom's frequent attacks, but on fifteen minutes, against the run of play, it was K'ford who extended their lead when Toby R fired home from close range. However, West Brom continued to attack and after twenty minutes, following a quick break, they were awarded a short corner which led to their first goal. West Brom continued to dominate forcing the home side on the defensive. Following more pressure, and after being awarded a series of short corners, the away side once again found the net which bought them back on level terms.

Half time - Kingswinford 2 West Bromwich 2

After the restart, West Brom continued to attack, however K'fords midfield began to impose themselves with Dan, Will and Maya working hard and linking up well. Following a quick break, it was West Brom who scored first and found themselves in the lead for the first time in the match. With both teams battling hard, the game opened up and chances were created by both sides. After twenty minutes, it was West Brom who netted to extend their lead to 4 - 2. That proved to be the final goal of the game. Despite being behind, the home side continued to work hard as a team, challenging for the ball, making tackles and never let their heads drop right up to the final whistle.

Full time - Kingswinford 2 West Bromwich 4

Despite losing at home, the team worked hard, showing excellent spirit - and in difficult circumstances, it was a well disciplined display.

The midfield trio of Dan, Ethan and Toby K continued to combine well, but the Pickwick's defence was offering strong resistance. After 15 minutes, the away side's first short corner of the game resulted in Dan producing a goal line block to keep the scores level. With a strong squad to chose from, thank you to all the players for their understanding when being substituted, as the squad was rotated giving everyone a chance to play.

Once again K'ford fielded a strong squad which enabled the team to operate a squad rotation during the match. Possession was even, with both midfields battling hard in the early exchanges. Dan, Ethan and Toby K were linking up well and looking to create openings. Good pressure from the home side continued to unsettle the visitors. The first clear cut chance fell to Toby R who's shot was just wide. The visitors continued to battle hard, but were unable to penetrate K'fords defence. As the first half progressed their confidence continued to grow. However it was K'ford who took the lead on 20 minutes with the two Tobys combining to open up the scoring. After the interval, it was the visitors who made the stronger start, but were unable to take advantage of good early possession. K'fords defence continued to be put under pressure, with Brad being tested on several occasions. A fine solo run and effort on 15 minutes from Toby K, was K'fords first real opportunity of the half, but on 25 minutes, it was the visitors who drew level - which on the balance of play was a deserved equaliser. After the goal, K'ford once again began to play with pace and purpose, but were unable to add to their score.

Once again it was a good all round team performance - with good skills, character and communication.
